Hooray For Hollywood

Author(s):

This terrifically funny show takes place in Hollywood, California, where the hand that feeds also bites. Young movie and television hopefuls come from all over the country to study at "Milo Bravo's Workshop of Dramatic Art -- And Stuff," lured by Milo's phony scholarships. He teaches such "vital" subjects as "How to Wear Sunglasses Properly" and "How To Avoid The Pitfall Of Talent." Soon the students find themselves waiting tables and doing extra work in a weird film that keeps changing its title. The laughs really go into high gear when Dorothy (from Kansas, of course!) and her sister show up with no idea of what a Looney Tune town Hollywood can be. Soon Dorothy's meeting everyone from the manager of a flea circus and an overly-enthusiastic kickboxer to a phony "psychic consultant to the stars" and a screenwriter who calls himself Jean-Claude Van Damme! Poor Milo can barely keep himself out of jail. Watch and laugh when he has to raise $30,000 or bust a gut trying. Fast action, jokes, great fun roles, hilarity from start to finish. Your audience will have its funny bone knocked out of shape. It's nonstop laughter until Milo and his future "stars" are launched into fabulous, if crazy, new careers. (Also available as a musical.)
